Rules and Description of the MK Poker Tournament to the WSOP Main Event in Vegas:

DESCRIPTION:    The MK Poker Club will run a tournament in which the winner will win a $10,000 seat in the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas.  The winner also will receive $2,000 toward airfare and hotel.

The MK Poker Club tournament consists of 27 chip stacks, each one costing $450.  The tournament is played sometime between March and May, depending on finding a date when all participants in the tournament are able to show up and play.  To gain entry into the tournament, you can buy a $450 chip stack (as long as you haven’t won one yet in a satellite or last longer) or win a chip stack in a satellite tournament at MK Poker Club or a last longer event at MK Poker Club.

SATELLITES AND LAST LONGERS:  The MK Poker Club will have satellite tournaments (somewhere between $60 to $120 per player) where you can win a $450 chip stack.  You would be informed by email when those satellite tournaments will be held.

Also, MK Poker Club will provide “Last Longer” opportunities at their league play tournaments (also somewhere between $60 to $120 per player) to win a $450 chip stack.  The way the “Last Longer” works is you pay the entry fee into the League Play tournament (somewhere from $20 to $40 per player) and then pay an additional amount to be in a side bet of who will last longer amongst those that pay the extra money to be in it.  You might not win the league tournament but you could still be the last player left amongst those that paid the extra fee to be in the “Last Longer” for that particular tournament, therefore winning a $450 chip stack.   Of course the amount of chip stacks being played for depends on the amount of money in the pot for either the satellite tournaments or the last longer side bets during the MK league play tournaments.

CHIP STACKS:  As mentioned before, a chip stack costs $450.  Due to the fact that we have a real hard time getting 27 people to pay the $450, we allow players to win a 2nd and 3rd chip stack for the tournament.  This means there will be less people and some will start of with 2 chip stacks, some with 3 chip stacks, and the others with just one chip stack.

You ARE NOT allowed to buy this type of power however.  You may only buy your first chip stack.  You may only get a 2nd and 3rd chip stack by winning them in a satellite or last longer event at MK Poker.  Once you win a chip stack, you ARE NOT allowed to buy one even though you haven’t bought one yet.

As mentioned before, the winner gets the $10,000 seat and $2,000 toward air fare and hotel.  Each losing stack will get a 1% share in whatever the winner cashes for in the Main Event in Vegas.  This means if you have 3 stacks to start the tournament and you don’t win, you know have 3% of whatever the MK winner cashes in the Main Event in Vegas.  2 Stacks would be 2% and of course one stack is 1%.

RULES:  -Please see “CHIP STACKS” above concerning chip stack rules.

-You may not try to cash out your winning seat.  You may, however, sell it to someone in the

                  MK Poker community.

-Chopping the big prize is not allowed.  Play it out to have one winner to Vegas only.

-Miles and Keith (founders of MK Poker Club) have final say on rulings during the tournament.

If Miles or Keith are involved in the dispute then it would go to a vote of the remaining players

to come up with a decision.

-The tournament itself is in the same style as the WSOP Main Event, where it’s No-Limit play

with a blind structure that eventually will also include antes.

-Players that already have three chip stacks may still play for another stack but they may not use

that stack in the tournament.  They may either choose to have one less stack in play for the

tournament (increasing their odds of winning) or sell it to another player that doesn’t have any

stacks yet.  You MAY NOT cash it out for $450.
